The babies are 9 weeks old, and still with us for one more week. Then they'll go back to the shelter for adoption. Each is a unique individual...Bear is mellow & placid, until he sees ribbon! TC is determined & feisty despite her size. Stripe is the observer, but a purr bug. Marbles is gorgeously marked and purrs on contact. And WC, who has lagged behind the bunch size-wise, barely over a pound as the others are looking 1 3/4-2 lbs in the face, well...WC is fearless and so loving. This tiny little girl shocked us this morning; I walked into the kitchen and there she was, climbing into Lola's food bowl (NOT a good idea given that Lola thinks she's a chipmunk anyway). This teeny little girl had managed to escape the 3 1/2 ft high pen that has contained everyone else. They are lively, bright, playful, social, and should find good homes quickly. These pictures are a tad blurry, a combination of dubious skills and constantly moving targets!
Bear...handsome little guy!
Stripe's our observer. He's a tad cross-eyed, but very sweet.
That's Marbles in the back left--check out those markings! WC is in the foreground, with Stripe deciding it's time to wrestle. Unfortunately, TC wouldn't cooperate at all for photos, but I'll post more before they leave us! And for those who have been wondering if it would happen...well, there's a very good chance WC, our intrepid Mighty Mouse, will be remaining behind when her siblings leave. She rides around on Linda's shoulder, and has won our hearts. It's not definite; we need to be sure Elf will be okay with it, and that we can keep her absolutely safe from Lola who thinks of her as an interactive squeak toy, but how could we not love this little imp?

Gawd, you are right, so cute!!! Wish I could take one or two of 'em. Tiny little purring things are very precious.
kittens have to be the sweetest little fluffballs ever, and sadly are so often discarded like trash, how can anyone do that to such beautiful little creatures, I hope your day is a good one,
Lovely babies, you have done so well to have them well, happy, and full of fun. How quiet a home is without a kitten or cat. Cheers from Jean.
They are so very cute. I wish I could adopt one, but my son's fiancee is very allergic, so this is the first time in my life I haven't had a cat.
@Jen--you're a kind mother-in-law to be! I'm actually allergic to cats, and it appears to dogs as well. I just wash my hands ALOT!
@Nancy--thanks for stopping by. I was reluctant when Linda decided to foster the babies, but have to admit I'm glad she did it!
@Robin--yeah--does it get cuter???
@Laurie--these little ones were found in the basement of a house that burned down, a couple of days after the fire. Mom was nowhere to be seen, and didn't belong to the people who owned the house. But the little buggers will be adopted quickly I think!
I'm not really a cat person, but those babies are just too cute. Sophie, my Cairn terrier, would not enjoy... She too would think that they were squeak toys. Good job on raising such fine babies.
They are SO cute...I love cats...love their independence...:) I couldn't foster...I would end up keeping them all!! LOL
Did you ever find the answers to your poison ivy problem and solving it.. i have been doing some research & it is unbelievable how hard it is to get rid of it...short of a goat which is not something you can just go out and get...
Wonderful day to you & Linda , Ashling :)
Dude! How can you NOT keep them all? You know I'd be crazy enough to take them, but sanity ain't got nothing to do with it.
I do hope they find good homes. I'm rather partial to Marbles.
I shall resist!
@Linda--we're trying a vinegar-salt-dish detergent blend, but I suspect we'll be out there this weekend with heavy duty gloves & long pants pulling it up so we can get the pen built.
I didn't want to foster because I was afraid I'd fall in love. I'm surprised to discover I'm more okay with it than expected. It'll be hard to say goodbye, but I think it helps our inn is full to overflowing! And since WC may be staying, that helps too...although we agree we can't keep one EVERY time Linda brings home a batch!
Such beautiful little cuties. I think fostering is a wonderful thing to do. I am nervous about it for the same reason as you were. But your ability to let go (mostly) gives me courage.
let us know how that works...that would be great information to have...I also heard if you rub oil on your skin it helps to deflect the ivy oil....Good Luck this weekend...:)
I've fallen hopelessly for Bear! How adorable Ashling...all of them. :)
Such wonderful Feline Momma's you and Linda are!
