Once upon a time two womyn moved to the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. They dreamed of growing things, wandering woods, and ending their days rocking side-by-side as the sun set over those same mountains....
These were victories not just for those seeking same sex marriage rights, but for generations to come. Every step we take towards all people being considered truly equal is a step toward the country we can be.
This is awesome news...now if only all states were on board! We can hope?
I was very saddened by their decision in the case of Affirmative Action though... it was a total undoing of civil rights as we know it...we haven't learned from history yet or I should say they haven't learned from history yet, and so I hope this motivates those of us who love equality in all things to begin in earnest to bring this back to the floor of the Senate and write yet another amendment.
