Microfiction Monday--Courtesy of Stony River

She had promised to come right back, but that was hours ago.  How embarrassing to be abandoned in the colorless Valley of Insipid Romantics.

Stony River: A Writing Life hosts Microfiction Monday, wherein one writes a piece of fiction of 140 characters or less, inspired by her picture of the week.

Dumped - unceremoniously!

Nicely done. :)

Figuering out that he's been dumped was probably painful.
But better sooner then later.
Liked your take, fits the picture so well.
(I'm following you, love to meet new people.)

Nothing like being dumped -- and in front of "them"!! Great take for the day! Hope you have a good week. Look forward to your story next week!

Colorless! Insipid! I love it. Key takeaway? Never let 'em out of your sights.

Abandoned. Sad!
It could be that she wanted to come back, but for some compelling reason, could not.

Well done.

Your cute µ-fiction reminds me of the Nursery Rhyme, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."
